How BTC used the CityInfo application to bring data on properties, tenants and contracts from different systems together in one place - with a text search and an interactive map.

"The new CityInfo application has optimised the way we share information about properties and business agreements. We now have simple, fast access to key information about clients, contracts and premises in one place. The solution developed by the BizIT team has exceeded our expectations and saved us a great deal of time searching for data, which has also simplified communication between the various stakeholders."
Under the BTC City brand, BTC operates one of the largest shopping, business, leisure, entertainment and cultural centres in Europe, in Ljubljana, and is committed to automation and the digital transformation of its internal processes.
Data on clients, contracts and premises was spread across different sources - from ERP and CRM systems to spatial records with measurements and floor plans. The goal of the CityInfo project was to create a powerful text and graphical search tool giving employees easy access to key information about clients and business premises in one place. Data quality also emerged as a key challenge, which the client is addressing through standardisation and digitalisation.
The CityInfo application, built on the Power Platform, brings data from different databases together in one place. It is connected to two sources: the data warehouse holding business data from the ERP and CRM systems, and a server with precise measurements of the units and floor plan drawings.
Users search by various attributes - through a text search or an interactive map - and get reliable, up-to-date information about client contacts, contracts, financial status and the specifics of each unit:
The application has also been developed for mobile devices, so the data is available in the field as well. Its functionality is tailored to the needs of different teams - from sales and maintenance to marketing and finance - while user permissions are managed independently by BTC's internal team.
This project also followed our proven approach: process mapping and a solution prototype, approved by the client before development began.
